Belladonna is traditionally used for sudden redness, heat, dryness, throbbing discomfort, and marked inflammation of the throat or tonsils. Hepar Sulphuris is associated with highly sensitive and painful throat complaints, sharp or splinter-like swallowing pain, tenderness, and suppurative tendencies. Kalium Muriaticum is traditionally used for swollen tonsils, glandular swelling, congestion, and thick white or grey throat coatings.
